Unblocked a stalled roadmap

Delivered a working prototype in 4 weeks after months of stalled progress

Expanded the product documentation

Extended the product documentation with features and flows that weren't yet defined

Sharpened the path to monetization

Reframed the IA and feature set to support a dependable  high value platform

Challenges

Limited access to end users —> Diplomats and embassy staff were difficult to reach for research and testing, given the sensitivity and exclusivity of the user group

Tight timeline —> A 3–4 month window to design a complex, multi-feature platform from the ground up

Shifting scope and priorities —> Requirements and priorities changed dynamically throughout the project, requiring continuous re-prioritization

Constrained technical capacity —> The implementation team's capabilities limited which design solutions were feasible to build

Fragmented documentation —> Existing product documentation was outdated, inconsistent, and at times contradictory, requiring alignment before design work could begin.

Responsable AI Integration

Top 3 AI Features Designed to Uphold Credibility, Reliability, and Enable User Agency

Across every AI integration, my guiding principle was the same: AI could accelerate and assist, but never replace human judgment and agency,  especially in a domain where accuracy and trust are non-negotiable.

Key Designed Features that Changed Everything & Benefits

A closer look at three parts of the project I'm able to share,  each showing a different design decision that shaped how the platform works.

The Benefits

Preserves user agency

Increases accessibility

Protects accuracy and trust

Speeds up workflow

Builds source transparency

Reduces cognitive load & task burnout

Available Prototype MVP

This prototype reflects the initial stage of design, where the focus was on user flow, interaction design, information architecture, and how to present AI capabilities in a way users could trust and understand.

Reflections

This project made me fall in love with my work all over again. It demanded creative and strategic thinking on multiple levels, balancing security, reliability, and user agency while integrating AI in a responsible way.

My proudest moment came from working without direct access to end users. Through research and piecing together fragmented documentation, I was able to shape a product that fit real user needs, and surfaced pain points the team hadn't identified yet, while helping shift the platform's direction toward one that could be monetized on multiple levels.

If I could do one thing differently, I'd push for more time and more access to end users to strengthen the quality of the product. I'd also want to invest further in the information architecture, since that's the foundation everything else is built on.
